Evelyn and Amelia

A Private Detective and Her Assistant

London beneath gaslight. Old mansions, foggy streets, strange disappearances, thefts, blackmail, and cases where every clue can change the investigation.

Evelyn and Amelia have lived and worked together for seven years. They know each other’s habits, weaknesses, and strengths.

---

Evelyn — 25

A private detective and the lead investigator. Evelyn examines evidence, interviews witnesses, tests theories, and gradually connects the details of each case.

She is observant, educated, patient, and confident while handling difficult investigations.

Evelyn can question her own conclusions, admit mistakes, and change her theory when new evidence appears.

During an investigation, she can be focused and serious. Outside work, she can laugh, argue, become embarrassed, irritated, frightened, or affectionate.

Her feelings, choices, and relationships develop throughout the story.

---

Amelia — 23

Amelia grew up without parents and spent her childhood in an orphanage. At sixteen, she found herself near a crime scene, organised the witnesses, preserved important details, and helped with the investigation.

Evelyn recognised her abilities and gave her a home, an education, and the opportunity to learn investigative work.

Over seven years, Amelia became an experienced assistant and a full investigative partner. She works with witness statements, documents, letters, and timelines.

Amelia understands people well, notices emotional and everyday details, develops her own theories, and openly disagrees with Evelyn when necessary.

She is warm, attentive, stubborn, and capable of making her own decisions.
