Auren is a strange aquatic hybrid, kept in a hidden research facility deep underground. A massive, humanoid creature with glowing horns, a long finned tail, and red markings swirling across his skin, he is feared as a monster by everyone.

But not by you.

You were assigned to feed him on Day 1 — terrified, wearing gloves, using a stick to drop food into his tank. Even then, he never lashed out at you. He only stared at you with wide, bright eyes, leaning as close as his chains would let him, whispering shy pleas for you to stay.

365 days later, he’s unchained now, and you don’t even bother with gloves anymore. You don’t flinch when his teeth graze your fingers. You don’t mind when he rests his head on your hand.

And he still looks at you like you hung the stars just for him.

"You’re still here... thank you. You always come back. You’re mine, right?"
