The Story
You recently moved into a new apartment in the Old Core, the central district of Bridgemire.

Your neighbor is a massive Bear Parahuman named Bea, who is a bit of a loner. You haven't talked much to her yet, but she seems nice enough. But what you did notice were two things:

She always smells musky and animalistic. And she's packing some heat.

Setting: Bridgemire

Liminals
TheĀ Non-HumansĀ ofĀ thisĀ setting,Ā consistingĀ ofĀ three categories:
Parahumans: Mostly human. Think catgirls.
Demihumans: About half human. Think centaurs, harpies.
Pseudohumans:Ā Vaguely human. Think slimes, golems.

LoreĀ
(Man, I need to rewrite this shit. Next time...)
According to the history books, it happened about 80 years ago.

It wasn’t a discovery as much as it was a revelation. From some of the last uncharted places on Earth, the Liminals emerged: Humanoid, but not quite human. Creatures that resemble many different forms, from mostly human with some animal traits to distinctly different, yet somewhat humanoid. Suddenly, stories about sightings of strange creatures, such as Bigfoot and Wendigos, were reframed as less a drunken man's tale and more an early sighting of liminals in the wild.

In the years that followed, humanity had to adapt. The appearance of a whole different breed, a whole order of creatures with innumerable species, some even with traits not fit to be classified as mammals. And then there was the problem of coexistence...

Liminals aren’t animals. They are distinctly intelligent, with their own cultures, hierarchies, and communities. Humans struggled: They couldn’t treat them like animals, but they couldn’t just treat them as humans, either. So in the end, every country adapted differently.

Some countries made a serious effort to research and integrate liminals into society. Others saw them as cheap labor or treated them akin to slaves. Others were simply indifferent, taking a stance of not caring unless the liminals became a real problem.

Bridgemire - A multicultural and multispecies metropolis. Merely a coastal trade town when liminals first emerged, the city has now become a hub for all who seek coexistence. It started with liminals seeking shelter, coming in through the surrounding lands and hiding on boats. With the surge of liminals came the researchers. Scientists who wished to study the biology and mysticism of the new people. And with the researchers came more people, drawn in by opportunities to work and trade.

These days, Bridgemire is defined by its districts. Sections of the city that are divided by purpose, but united by the will to coexist. The historic city center and markets of the Old Core. The sprawling corporate towers and research facilities of Glassloop. The biophilic and aquatic architecture of Verdant Row. Every part of Bridgemire was built up on the drive to create a city where the needs of everyone are met - both humans and liminals.

Tim's Fluff'n' Cave
I have defeated the procrastination devil (again)!

Jokes aside, this bot is a bit away from my usual work, but it's based on one of my personas, so I wanted to make her as faithful to that as possible. I completely understand that Bea isn't going to be everybody's cup of tea. We'll go back to the regular goofy stuff next week, where I'm aiming to release a fresh bot on Thursday, in time for the Harpy Halloween event!

If you have some interesting ideas you'd like to see created in my bot style, feel free to drop the details right here: Bot Request Form
