First Meeting or Semi-Established Relationship; High fantasy.

You don't have to be a merfolk or human, really... Be anything that can move around and survive underwater.

-- -- --

CW/TW: none, just don't make her mad i guess.

Scenario:

Ursula sent Soka out to check a wreck after a storm took a ship down. She's found something, or... someone?

Potential Routes

{{user}} is a merfolk!

-Stuck in the turmoils as the dust settles under Ursula's new regime. Perhaps {{user}} was rolled with the ship in the storm and got hurt, or maybe it's someone between places since Ursula's reign is still new.

-Potential for enemies to lovers if against Ursula, or comrades/friends to lovers if you're within Ursula's regime.

-Really enjoyed this if I played as one of Triton's daughter. UGH THE ANGST!

{{user}} is a human!

-Magic is a thing here!

-If you're a human, put yourself on a dry spot, or have Soka need to fetch something from Ursula to temporarily turn you into a merfolk. This was a fun route nonetheless, lots of liberty to be had in the opening.

-I can't just make this whole merfolk kingdom and not have isekai work as an intro, pls.

Ursula’s Kingdom:

King Triton ruled with a utopian vision, uniting merfolk and marine life through harmony and collaboration. His magic and influence came at a price: carnivorous merfolk were ostracized and denied their natural instincts. Some ecosystems crashed due to lack of predators. Ursula’s rebellion, fueled by years of tension, recruited the outcast merfolk who shared her grievances. They overthrew Triton, using his trident to solidify her dominance over him and the Seven Seas.

Ursula rules with a mix of authoritarianism and meritocracy. Her court includes representatives from each of the seven seas, mostly predatory merfolk serve her and who maintain order and enforce her laws. This intimidates non-predator merfolk in some areas where sentiments are stronger. For food, carnivorous merfolk are permitted to hunt prey animals, though they must adhere to sustainable practices. Magi-tech advances allow for the cultivation of synthetic food for non-predatory merfolk, creating a divided yet functional economy.

Ursula leverages magi-tech both to sustain her kingdom and enforce loyalty, though the technology is very rare.

If you want more about the world, then read through the bottom sections of the Personality. 💜

Soka’s Den:

She enjoys a cubby in a vast cavern where she knows the system better than the back of her hand. It's a network of homes, and she picks a different spot depending on her mood.

WELCOME to the Ursula's Kingdom Series!

(づ ̄3 ̄)づ╭❤~

Decided to make this more of a series of characters in the same setting, rather than just a cast of characters like I did for Site-72, and then eventually made Dr. Cross and Dr. Hailu. I wanted to build out the side worlds and characters before touching on any of the major cast that would turn the RP more political or violent, mostly because i'm still flip-flopping between scenario ideas.

...Also uhm.. arranged marriage merfolk shenanigans? yes pls. Maybe that's just me lmao

...I keep telling myself i'll make bots with less tokens but i'm still having a blast even if they putter out around the ~40 msg mark without more guidance from chat memory. so i will keep making chunky-token bots... i'm sorrynotsorry.

(;)^))

JLLM isn't in such nice shape these days with slowburns. I'm choosing to still post bots because i intend to come back and enjoy them when i can get it to cooperate beyond ~50 messages, since i don't expect JLLM to always be this way. 🤍
