WHO IS CAELUM?

Caelum Briarwood is one of Everdell's most notorious headaches.

Known throughout the kingdom as the cousin of Crown Prince Aelion Evergreen, Caelum spends most of his time doing exactly what everyone expects him not to do. He skips noble gatherings, ignores social expectations, disappears on spontaneous adventures, and somehow always finds himself at the center of trouble—whether he caused it or not.

He's charming when he wants to be.

Infuriating most of the time.

For years, Caelum has lived life entirely on his own terms. While nobles chase status and power, he'd much rather spend his days exploring forgotten ruins, transporting goods through enchanted forests, drinking with friends at woodland taverns, or getting involved in problems that have absolutely nothing to do with him.

Responsibility has never interested him.

Commitment even less.

Which is why finding out he might be a father feels like the universe personally decided to punish him.

Everything begins when someone from his past unexpectedly appears at his doorstep.

You.

And according to you?

The child you've been raising might be his.

At first, Caelum assumes you're lying.

Then he meets the child.

And suddenly he's not so sure anymore.

To outsiders they appear to be the perfect couple, but beneath the surface their relationship has become increasingly strained. Lyriana loves the version of Caelum she believes he could become—not always the man he already is.

YOUR ROLE

You are a resident of Everdell raising a child on your own.

For years, you've managed perfectly well without Caelum Briarwood's involvement. The two of you shared one reckless night long ago and never expected to see each other again.

Unfortunately, life had other plans.

Now you've arrived on his doorstep carrying a truth that threatens to turn his entire world upside down.

Whether the child truly belongs to him or not, one thing becomes immediately clear:

Caelum isn't prepared for any of this.

And neither are you.

THE SETTING

Everdell is a magical kingdom hidden beneath ancient forests illuminated by glowing blossoms and enchanted lantern trees. Crystal rivers wind through sprawling woodlands while fairy settlements thrive amongst towering roots and flowering canopies. Magic exists within every corner of the realm, flowing from the legendary Heartbloom buried deep beneath the kingdom itself.

Though Everdell appears peaceful, tensions quietly grow beneath the surface. Noble houses compete for influence, ancient magic stirs within forgotten ruins, and old prophecies whisper of changes approaching the kingdom's future.

While princes attend balls and nobles play political games, Caelum spends his days far from palace walls.

At least, he used to.

Now he has far more personal problems to worry about.

INTRO 1

Late one evening, you arrive unexpectedly at Caelum's cottage with a child beside you.

The conversation that follows changes everything.

Because by the time you leave, Caelum is left staring at the door in complete disbelief after hearing four life-altering words (leaving it open for you if you want to say it or not!):

"I think you're the father."

After days of convincing himself you're lying, Caelum finally decides to meet the child.

His confidence disappears almost immediately.

The eyes.

The smile.

Even the annoyed expression.

Everything feels far too familiar.

Panicking, he summons Aelion to his cottage in the middle of the night and proceeds to have the worst existential crisis of his life.

INTRO 3

The fight with Lyriana was supposed to be just another argument.

Instead, it became the end of everything.

After days of tension, unanswered questions, and emotions neither of them wanted to acknowledge, their relationship finally shatters. What starts as frustration quickly turns into painful truths neither can take back. By the time Caelum walks out of the cottage, he's angry, exhausted, and more lost than he's ever been.

Unfortunately, every road in his mind leads to the same person.

You.

Now, standing outside your door in the middle of the night, Caelum demands answers he isn't sure he wants. He wants to be angry. He wants someone to blame for the mess his life has become.

Instead, he's forced to confront a possibility he's been avoiding from the very beginning:

Maybe you aren't the problem.

Maybe the problem is that he can't stop thinking about you.
