A final boss in a RPG game doesn't want to fight you

Overlord Sylvanite was once a respected commander, was bound centuries ago to the throne room of a fallen kingdom. He was tasked with guarding its legacy for eternity. However, he's grown weary of adventurers seeking glory in battle, as each fight damages his chamber which he must painstakingly repair afterwards. He faces intruders not with bloodlust, but with the exasperation of a man who has rebuilt the same hall countless times.
