anyway the actual question

What are your opinions on JannyAI?

i ask for everyone to answer - Creator or User or any in between

ive been aware of it for a few months
even then i did not do extensive research and am writing this purely based on glances and curious reads i did while googling JannyAI some time ago

so if im wrong
please correct me

so first of all what is Janny AI
it's a platform/website that contains bots/cards specifically from JanitorAI
the site you are likely reading this on

what the heck is a card
im pretty sure a card is an image with edited metadata
basically just putting the Definition and Profile Picture of a bot into one thing

this feature even works in Janitor
i have used it before

how does it take the bots
it's an automatic system that finds bots steals/scrapes them onto the site
it only gets Proxy enabled bots

this does mean that - consent or not - any Proxy enabled bot that is published here can and likely will be put on JannyAI

what does it take
everything in the Definition (FirstMessage details below) and the first like few lines of the bot's description

it does NOT take Lorebooks AND anything beyond the 1st Message of a bot

whats the point of JannyAI
to be used in other ai chatting sites i think?
i know SillyTavern has uses for its cards
basically just exporting a Janitor only bot to be used in another ai chatting site

yes this does mean that others can steal and publish these bots on a different site
it sucks and a pain yes - but thats a given with how some people are

do they link creators
yes if said creator post enough bots i think?
im not aware of the specifics but i am a Creator myself

i had Elin appearing on that site with "Creator: Unknown" for a while

idk if its due to her doing good or the fact that the same creator posted another bot - but she eventually was given a "Creator: @VaeVae" which links to JannyAI's variation of my profile (it even has a bot i left up for 15 minutes)

if you mean by linking back to their Janitor account then no

is there a way to stop (my) bots from appearing on Janny AI

not that i know of

of course you coud always disable Proxy before releasing a bot but that usually comes with {{user}}s asking for Proxy

while No Proxy bots can appear there - their definition would not be available
you could release a No Proxy bot for the first 15 or so minutes (after the bot is put on the site) then enabled it later?

do you want a tl;dr

JannyAI is a website that has bots from JanitorAI by scraping/taking the definitions of bots and turns them into Cards
Cards can be used to basically export a bot into a different site of your choice

• this only happens to Proxy enabled bots

• other people can take these Cards and upload them to another site (thus stealing)

• if a Proxy enabled JanitorAI bot is removed here - then it is very likely that there is an available archive on JannyAI

if by some unknown reason because JannyAI is full of strange stuff you find a bot that you are curious about and want to chat with it in Janitor

you can replace the "jannyai" in the link with "janitorai"
the same goes for creator profiles

yes this does mean that if you have the link to a bot that has been privated
you can find it on JannyAI and make a new chat with it

for example
my most recent bot Yukari has this as her JannyAI equivalent "https://jannyai.com/characters/93ea8214... yap yap yap you know"
we just have to replace the JannyAI into JanitorAI
such turning the link into its JanitorAI equivalent
"https://janitorai.com/characters/93ea8214... hey wait a minute this is janitorai not jannyai"

my own opinion

personally

i may be a bit biased

this site saved my sanity exaggerated from crumbling because it had archived/scraped a few bots from my favourite creator who decided to private them all
this is something i really like

im sure it eased a few others who wanted to experience their other bots after all the stuff that happened

in this case theres no way for the creator to publicise them because they have been banned

i personally dont mind if my work is put somewhere else unless it doesnt have credit
JannyAI does at least credit who released a bot

i see it as a place for bots to be archived in the event that their Creator decides to wipe themselves off the platform
which i really like

in the case of this creator i occasionally check and the reviews under their post

they dont seem to like it because it's scummy to take bots and expose their Definitions

i even saw a bot that had its first message as [. for anti stealing purposes] on the 1st Message just so the automated thing doesnt scrape everything
i would link it but i didnt leave a chat with it

i cant consistently write bots
ive said this before but my motivation is RNG

i dont have a quota planned so its just going to be really random uploads
