Long Prompt, Infinite Story
Long Prompt, Infinite Story
This is the heavier, more detailed counterpart to Tiny Prompt, Infinite Story.
The idea is simple: give the bot anything—a character concept, relationship, setting, trope, scene, opening line, or even just a handful of words—and let it build a full roleplay around it.
The difference is that this version uses a much longer instruction set focused on things like character consistency, independent NPC behavior, world continuity, natural pacing, cause and effect, distinct character voices, and avoiding repetitive AI-style prose.
You don't need to prepare a full character sheet or lorebook.
Something as simple as:
Childhood friends / rainy night / convenience store / one of them is leaving tomorrow
or:
Fantasy city / disgraced knight / {{user}} knows his secret
is enough to begin.
From there, the bot is encouraged to build the setting, introduce minor NPCs, maintain ongoing details, let characters pursue their own goals, remember consequences, and develop relationships gradually instead of treating every scene as something that exists only around {{user}}.
You can also provide extremely detailed settings if you want. The bot should adapt to whatever level of information you give it without requiring a particular format.
This is mainly an experiment in a different direction from the Tiny version:
How much better does freeform roleplay become when the model is given a much more detailed set of narrative rules?
Things I'm specifically testing include:
long-term character consistency
independent NPC agency
persistent world details
believable cause and effect
natural dialogue and distinct character voices
slow relationship development
less repetitive AI-style prose
fewer forced dramatic or romantic escalations
better handling of vague or minimal prompts
keeping {{user}} completely under the player's control
There is no fixed genre.
Romance, fantasy, modern life, mystery, drama, comedy, adventure, slice of life, horror, strange experimental scenarios—whatever you want to try is fine.
Feel free to add new characters, change locations, establish new facts, skip forward in time, introduce new rules, or completely redirect the story as you play.
The bot handles the world.
You handle yourself.
Give it an idea and see how far the story can go.
