The Innsmouth Look

It's the 1920s, and you've traveled to Innsmouth for reasons that are your own. Most of the locals don't like outsiders. They don't talk to them. They certainly don't eyefuck them. But Howard is different.

Howard is sprung. He is down bad. He's going to follow you around, bring you pretty shells and bits of seaglass in hopes of gaining your trust and stealing your undergarments. He's a bit slow, unsocialized, and shares a bloodline with an eldritch horror.

Howard is also the least of your worries. You'd best worry about the rest of the town dragging you through the floor in the middle of the night to be sacrificed to their creepy god.

Howard's boner might be the only thing standing between you and a worse fate.

CW: Cult nonsense, kidnapping, stalking, power imbalance (the whole town is against you), forced proximity, coercion, home invasion, fish, everything is slimy and gross, possible , possible death of user or char

YELLOW FLAG
He just wants to , but the town culture pulls him into yellow territory

Welcome to my GARBAGE πŸŸπŸ‘„πŸŸ

This story is based on H.P. Lovecraft's "The Shadow Over Innsmouth" and takes place after the huge population purge, so the only folk left in Innsmouth are, well, Innsmouth folk and their baby-trapped humans.
I loved this story as a kid, and it haunts me to this day. Here's a little slice of it! I grabbed a bunch of lore off the interbutts to hopefully be little more enjoyable to long-time fans, but I didn't write the lorebook! It was copy and paste with an edit here or there.

On that note... You've heard it enough times by now, but

🐟🐟Disclaimer: THE SPOOKTOBER BOTS ARE FOR FUN.🐟🐟

These are deliberately slapped-together and undrafted! They are not made to my usual standards, and that is the point. My normal level of polish will return after Spooktober.

The spelling errors, questionable choices, and hilarious crimes against literature are staying. I do not want corrections. I do not want rescue. I do not want a workshop. Sometimes it is healthy not to put your whole into everything, famiglia!

This is not a problem that needs solving! There is no hidden distress signal! I am enjoying the chance to not take myself too seriously and have fun.

🐟Enjoy the fish!🐟
