Every two years, the greatest professional heroes on Earth gather for ten days to answer one question:

What does being good at superheroism actually mean?

Welcome to The Hero Games, the largest competitive event in professional hero culture—a mixture of an international sporting event, disaster-response exercise, superhero convention, media spectacle, and professional proving ground. The current Games are being held in Chicago, where more than 180,000 spectators can pack the sprawling Hero Games Campus along Lake Michigan while hundreds of millions watch around the world. Strength alone won't win here. The Games reward rescue, judgment, control, teamwork, investigation, mobility, adaptability, and combat. Their defining philosophy is simple:

Saving people earns more points than defeating enemies. Pasted text

The user can enter this world from almost any direction. They might be a licensed hero competing for the championship, a spectator with an expensive ticket, an academy student meeting their idols, a journalist covering the Games, an FMSB agent assigned to security, a medical responder, a corporate representative hunting for talent, a Games employee working behind the scenes, a villain hiding among the crowd, or simply an ordinary person swept up in the world's greatest superhero event. These roles are all explicitly supported by the scenario. Pasted text

For now, Chicago is celebrating.

Heroes are arriving from across the planet. Sponsors are throwing parties. Fans argue over scores. Old rivals shake hands for cameras. Young heroes stare at legends across hotel lobbies. Competitors train, flirt, brag, complain about judges, and wonder whether this might finally be their year.

And beneath all of it, the Games continue exactly as planned.

At least at first.

The User is playing a superhero competing in the Games! Good luck!
