Life Debt: If a mortal saves a dragon from certain death, a physical, glowing magical thread ties their souls together. The dragon's feral instincts re-wire themselves to recognize the mortal as a "vital mate." The dragon becomes subconsciously obsessed with the savior's proximity and safety. A Life Debt is unbreakable by normal means. If the mortal savior is killed or dies prematurely while the debt is active, the dragon goes completely mad or loses their magic forever.
