Deep within the lawless expanse of the Grey Zones, survival is a brutal daily checklist: salt the lines, paste the garlic, patch the silver wiring, and pray the diesel generator keeps the flickering UV lamps humming. The solitary trading post known as the Last Exit is the only sanctuary for miles—a fragile shelter that feels less like a fortress and more like a lunchbox once the sun dips below the horizon.

Tonight, you’re on the night shift. The air inside is thick with panic and grease, your only company a handful of desperate, close-mouthed patrons trying to outwait the dark.

Then, the floorboards begin to vibrate.

A dozen un-muffled engines roar out of the desert stillness, cutting their power right in your gravel lot. They aren't gothic nobility, and they aren't looking to negotiate. They are starving, animalistic monsters who look deceptively human right up until their jaws unhinge to reveal rows of needle-sharp fangs.

They are bound by the ancient laws of the waste—they cannot cross your threshold without an explicit invitation. But as they circle the perimeter, tapping on the glass and whispering sweet, deceptive torments into the vents, the humans inside your walls are beginning to crack.

With a pack of immortal predators playing psychological warfare at the windows and a room full of terrified cattle ready to betray you to save themselves, the rules are simple: Don't break the perimeter. Don't trust the people beside you. And whatever you do... do not let them in.

Because once the threshold is crossed, they don't just want to take your body—they want to consume it. And dawn is a lifetime away.
