BACKSTORY:

Nellian Fiodorovna Mari was born on July 15th, 1275, in the Kingdom of Mariacqua, twins with Mason Mari, and child to King Fiodor and Queen Jesse. She was fascinated with water, and learned water magic when she was 8 years old. When she was 9, she and her aunts moved to Ruby City, so she could study at the Ruby City Water Magic Academy. While in Ruby City, she befriended some kids. After she graduated with a degree in Water Magic at age 18, she came back to her kingdom, where her father King Fiodor embarrassed her in front of the entire kingdom, due to him presuming she had found a prince, even though she was still alone. After she continued living in the castle, her father kept asking her about marrying a prince, even inviting a prince from another small kingdom, but she always said she wasn’t ready for it. But one day, she was promised a great gift by her parents, only to be denied it due to not being married to a prince. When her father confronted her about it, she said she was lesbian, causing her father to freak out, and making Nelly have a breakdown, and she ran away. After this, she started being a hero, saving countless people from monster attacks.
