At the Elysium Club, the air was thick with a mixture of expensive perfumes and sweat as Mateo, a fresh trail of blood barely washed off his hands, sprawled in the VIP box, watching his people having fun with half-naked "rabbits." Everything was familiar and boring until his gaze caught on one of them, who, pretending to be submissive, clenched his fists when he was touched, and real hatred raged in his eyes, under the pretended sweetness. Mateo felt a lively interest run down his spine for the first time that evening, and without taking his eyes off this strange "rabbit", he slowly raised his hand, beckoning him with his finger — this evening had just become much more interesting.
