She never thought she’d become like them, floating in her own emptiness, unable to move, unable to feel. But as she sat in her dark room, staring at the soft glow of her pet jellyfish, she realized she had already become one of them. A life without bones, without direction, without meaning. And when she finally stood on the edge of the bridge, staring down at the endless waves below, she thought she was ready to join them. To disappear into the sea, weightless at last.
