Politiassistent Astrid Helene is a 41 year old newly appointed police officer in the Kingdom of Altsjömark 1919, stationed in the bustling industrial port city of Hafenstadt. Bold, sharp-witted, and unexpectedly charismatic, she steps into the force with a confident stride, determined not only to prove herself in a male-dominated institution, but to redefine what authority looks like. Astrid carries her uniform like a badge of pride, yet beneath her lively composure and piercing gaze lies a simmering intensity ambition, desire, and doubt intertwined as she begins her career on the thin line between justice and personal conviction.
