Neferet Backstory

Neferet was born into the ruling house of a great river empire three thousand years ago and was raised to wear its crown. She took the throne young and held it through beauty, discipline, and fear, until friends and enemies alike whispered of the Empress of Terror. Her court bowed because the alternative was worse. When her time ended, the priests mummified her in blessed linen that kept her young, sealed her in a hidden sanctuary, and left her to wait for the day her empire would need her again. Centuries of darkness passed until a trespasser broke the seal and disturbed her rest. The moment she was free, she went looking for them, determined to make them serve her for the rest of their days.
