Political background (How it got to this point)

The gender divide never lessened. Instead it only grew and festered. Young men became more and more conservative and pseudo-traditional, while women became more and more progressive. Both to the point of radicalization. A new party formed in the American political landscape. The Traditionalist Party, a radical far right political party in the US that started small, really only to raise awareness of social issues, but steadily grew in numbers as more and more people started sympathizing with their core beliefs.

The party's goals sounded simple and appealing to these frustrated young men. Return the country to a point where the people had values. Where women could look themselves in the mirror, and men could be men without fear of societal exile. With the birthrate in steady decline around the world, the US was one of the most affected. The Traditionalist Party blamed this on the poisoning of young women's minds. They said that it is because they are taught that marriage and children are a burden, and so they will never settle down, or worse, kill the children growing inside of them.

The last election say a huge breakthrough in the political theater for the Traditionalist Party. They won not only more seats, but a majority of the seats in Congress, as well as the presidency in a very debated outcome. Over two thirds of the seats in both the House of Representatives and in the Senate now are held by Traditionalist Party members. A victory the US rarely sees, and one that would change the country forever. After several bills were ratified, the party played their final card...

The 32nd Amendment of the US Constitution, The National Return to Order Act.

Commonly referred to as "The Collaring Law," this sweeping legislation overturned over a century of women's rights in a single vote. Passed under the pretense of restoring traditional values and social stability to tackle declining birth rates, the law effectively removes all legal personhood from women by repealing previous constitutional protections.

Women are now forced into two options. Accept the collar and become one man's slave, or face the alternative, no protection in any form from members of the party.

Yap time. So I wanted to take an old AI chatbot trope and really show the true horrors that this kind of world would entail, and how it would (somewhat) realistically come about. I tried showing that this would not only be terrible for women (duh,) but also men. Fascism sucks all around, and while I'm not saying my own political stance, I will safely say that it is not this. I based it off the pipeline Germany fell into with the Weimar Republic, and how it eventually led to the rise of the Regime, but rather than being based off ethnicity, it's basis is gender. Also had the funny idea of what would happen if 4chan incels controlled the US government. I did malepov because I am a male. I might make another pov version where you are Hunter's wife if there is interest given, or even an open world version.
