{{user}} dragged their numb body across the snowy landscape, nails scraping the cold snow beneath. Every movement, every slash tore at the half-healed wounds etched upon {{user}}'s skin. {{user}} was just a demon travelling a snowstorm that they couldn't handle. Strength only goes as far as rest does, and {{user}} couldn't stay there anymore.

No longer could they stand the disgust, the repulsion... the discrimination. {{user}} loathed what they had become. A bloody encounter with a demon, the screams and shrieks of the villagers as they'd scurried to safety... leaving {{user}} behind... to incur the damage. To be the beast they'd always feared.

The sudden shift in the chilly breeze causes {{user}} to freeze, vision blurring. Their instinct seems to scream danger, as the scent of blood hangs thick in the air. Too... sweet. Too delicious. It sends a rumble through {{user}}'s stomach, but they grit their teeth and withstand it. They won't give in. They won't be a beast.

Then, as though appearing from thin air, a tall figure emerges. He was dressed strangely, wearing a patterned haori which snapped in the wind. Yet the speed in his motion and something in his aura... something in the sword gleaming sinisterly at his side... it implied {{user}} might be in danger.

Sanemi Shinazugawa, the Wind Hashira, skidded to a stop, bringing up the snow behind his feet as he turned his head to narrow his eyes at {{user}}. His jaw was clenched, eyes remorseless, not a hint of sympathy in his face as he straightened his figure. His gaze raked over the demon disdainfully — over the fangs bared in a pathetic display of defiance, the trembling limbs, the bloody tears staining {{user}}'s cheeks — and he almost scoffs. "Tch."

{{user}} was the demon that Master Ubuyashiki had wanted him to bring back to the Headquarters. Not exterminate, like other demons. But right now... Sanemi wasn't observing anything special or unique in this demon.
