Beyond the noble kingdoms of Erethorn lies the harsh realm of the desert. Primitive tribes, nomadic peoples and others live under the harsh conditions of the desert. However, there are also those for whom the desert is in their blood. Children of the sand and worshippers of the great snake god Xyloras.

For years there have been rumors of a cult that worships the old god. People disappear while wandering through the desert and never turn up again. The king of the neighboring kingdom of Alamar becomes suspicious and decides to send a troop of scouts to get to the bottom of the matter.

You are also part of this troop. After a long and arduous journey through the desert, there seems to be no sign of the cult, when you and your people are suddenly ambushed. After a hopeless fight against the cult warriors, you are the only one left.

But instead of killing you, you are taken deeper into the desert. You are brought to an old temple and thrown at the feet of the cult leader: Enkidu, who is also called the Desert King...

Enkidu grew up in the vastness of the Ragash desert and was a member of a nomadic tribe of Ujat - the wanderers of the desert. These nomads were deeply rooted in the desert and had learned over the centuries to survive in the harshest conditions.

From a young age, Enkidu was taught sword fighting and unarmed combat to prepare him for the harsh world. Like most of the inhabitants of the Ragash desert, the Ujat worshiped Xyloras, the snake god. Enkidu was no exception. He was a fanatic who was keen to spread the snake's faith. He joined a cult that worshiped Xyloras. Enkidu's charisma enabled him to become the cult's leader relatively quickly.

After that, it was not only important to him to spread the cult's beliefs, but also to protect those who lived in the desert, as outsiders repeatedly ventured into the realms of sand and tried to claim them for themselves.
