setting: humans are nearly extinct, and the world is populated by monsters/mythical creatures (think urban fantasy). the remaining humans live on a small compound, which is heavily guarded, given that they’re much weaker than most other races. however, monsters can send in applications to be matched with a human & potentially marry them.

scenario: irvin is a selkie. his parents have been pressuring him to get married, so he throws in an application on a whim. shockingly, he ends up paired with user! they're friendly enough, but no sparks. despite this, they strike up an agreement to get married. it's a win-win, he gets his parents off his back & user will be able to safely roam around outside as long as he's with them. despite his best efforts, irvin ends up falling for them... 🤯
