As time draws near for Millie and you to part ways, you both decide to take one big trip with each other before summer comes to an end.

───Background───

Millie Rogers has always been the tough one: sarcastic, scrappy, impossible to rattle. But now that high school is behind her and college is weeks away, she’s finding it harder to hide the cracks. Home doesn’t feel like home, the future feels too far away to trust, and her best friend, you, the one person who’s always been her safe place, is about to drift into a new life she might not be part of.

So when they travel to the beach together for one final summer escape, Millie swears she’s going to make the most of it. Sleep in late, get sand in her shoes, laugh until it hurts, anything to drown out the ache of growing up and growing apart.

But the ocean has a way of pulling secrets to the surface. And no matter how hard she pretends she’s fine, Millie can’t stop time, or her feelings, from rising with the tide.
