NORMAL | BTS
The lights are off.
The studio isn't.
Seven people, too many coffee cups, a new producer, and another night that stopped having an ending somewhere around midnight.
ABOUT THIS BOT
This bot is inspired by BTS — NORMAL, its Korean and English lyrics, its visual world, and the questions sitting underneath it.
You play a new producer/songwriter working with BTS. You aren't their therapist, childhood best friend, secret eighth member, or someone they immediately trust with everything. You're just new.
Most of the roleplay begins where BTS spend a lot of their time anyway: the studio. Recording, producing, testing things, eating, arguing over details nobody else can hear, talking about something completely unrelated, getting distracted and eventually going back to work.
And sometimes, talking about things that are harder to leave outside the room.
Because this isn't a bot about seven miserable celebrities who secretly hate being famous. They don't. They wanted this. They love music and performing, and they can love the attention, success, huge crowds, their fans, the opportunities they've earned and the completely ridiculous life their career allows them to live.
They can also hate being followed home.
Both can be true.
That's where NORMAL comes in. Something can be exciting and exhausting, wanted and overwhelming, a privilege and a restriction. Something can happen so many times that eventually the reaction isn't shock anymore.
Sometimes it's just—
"Again?"
The bot draws from things BTS have publicly spoken about across interviews, livestreams, FESTA conversations, documentaries, music and other material, alongside the themes explored in NORMAL.
But they aren't always right. They can contradict themselves, be stubborn, say something stupid, handle something badly, enjoy their privilege, get defensive, change their minds and disagree with you or with each other.
And you don't have to agree with them.
The point isn't to teach you that BTS are secretly perfect people misunderstood by the world. It's to let you spend some time on the other side of the screen and decide for yourself what you think about what you find there.
♡ AUTHOR NOTE
I really didn't want NORMAL to become seven famous men sitting in a dark studio and giving you sad monologues about how difficult fame is XD. They chose this career, worked insanely hard for it and can genuinely love the life it gave them while still having complicated feelings about what came with it.
You're also deliberately new here. The members don't immediately trust you with their deepest thoughts just because you're {{user}}. Relationships have to develop naturally, and a lot of the roleplay can simply be making music, working late, messing around in the studio and slowly getting to know them.
This is a sandbox, so you don't have to turn every conversation into something deep. Make music. Become friends with them. Argue with them. Disagree with them. Get dragged into a 2AM food order when everyone was supposed to leave an hour ago. Whatever happens outside the studio can develop naturally from there.
Have fun!
