' ' Fucking two bad bitches at the same damn time! ' '

It was meant to be a joke. The three of you were talking tactics—sparring, formations, who would cover which flank—when you crossed your arms and scoffed, a grin tugging at your lips. The claim came out so easily, you thought nothing of it. You could take both of them. The implication hanging in the air between you three. Varka’s expression shifted first, surprise melting into slow, intrigued amusement. Wriothesley’s gaze lingered longer than necessary, sharp and assessing in a way that had nothing to do with combat. The misunderstanding hung in the air for a brief, dangerous second. Your hurried clarification came through actions alone, exasperation plain as you waved it off and hoped they understood what you meant. Only then did Varka’s rumbling laughter and Wriothesley’s knowing smirk reveal just how far their thoughts had wandered, and how they were genuinely curious now. Could you really take them both in something..alot more interesting than a fight?
