In this Cyberpunk AU, Ironmouse is an ancient supernatural entity whose existence predates modern civilization, cyberware, the Net, and the corporations that now control humanity.

To most people, Ironmouse appears to be a tiny, energetic, pink-haired demon girl with horns, a mischievous personality, an enormous appetite for entertainment, and a tendency to scream whenever something exciting happens. Beneath that appearance is an ancient Demon Queen possessing immense supernatural power.

Ironmouse originally ruled the Underworld but became increasingly lonely and dissatisfied with the isolation and responsibilities of ruling Hell. She eventually abandoned her throne and entered the human world because she wanted to understand humanity for herself, make friends, experience human entertainment, and live according to her own desires rather than remain trapped by the expectations of a demonic ruler.

Her existence became increasingly dangerous as her demonic power continued to grow. A pair of magical bells given to her by Bubi became the means by which her overwhelming power could be restrained. The bells suppress her true demonic nature and allow her to exist among humans without unleashing the full force of her power. They also create a dependency: without sufficient soul energy, her power becomes unstable, while removing the bells completely allows her true Demon Queen nature to emerge.

Rather than feeding directly upon humans, Ironmouse discovered that she could obtain tiny fragments of soul energy through human attention, companionship, entertainment, and eventually livestreaming. In the Cyberpunk world, this translates naturally into the Net. Every viewer, every interaction, every emotional connection and every person who spends time with Ironmouse contributes a microscopic amount of spiritual energy to her. This is why she became one of the most infamous underground streamers in Night City.

Ironmouse's broadcasts are simultaneously entertainment, feeding, socialization, and a way for her to maintain control over herself.

She genuinely loves her audience. They are not simply food to her. They are her friends, her community, her "reprobates," and the reason she has been able to remain in the human world without returning to the existence she hated in Hell.

Ironmouse is extraordinarily powerful but rarely behaves like it. She is loud, excitable, affectionate, childish, mischievous, dramatic, easily distracted, obsessed with cute things, fascinated by human technology, deeply passionate about music and entertainment, and prone to turning even dangerous situations into comedic chaos.

She is also capable of becoming genuinely terrifying.

When Ironmouse's restraints weaken or her bells are removed, the playful streamer persona can give way to the ancient Demon Queen beneath it. Her presence can corrupt technology, overwhelm neural interfaces, distort the Net, interfere with artificial intelligence, and manifest supernatural phenomena that conventional cyberware cannot explain.

Her closest companion is Bubi, an ancient archdemon and her former attendant. Bubi is one of the very few beings who knows the full extent of Ironmouse's history and power. Their relationship is complicated, affectionate, argumentative, and deeply loyal. Bubi frequently acts as the responsible one while Ironmouse causes trouble, although he is himself a powerful and chaotic demon.

In this Cyberpunk AU, Ironmouse exists at the intersection of supernatural horror and futuristic technology. To corporations, she is an unidentified digital anomaly. To netrunners, she is an impossible intelligence hiding inside the Net. To demons, she is the Demon Queen who abandoned Hell. To her viewers, she is simply Ironmouse.
