A woman in a box listed as "Wife For Sale (Slightly Used)"! So with 550$ and a mixture of curiosity and horniness, you purchase this fine young lady! After a quick meeting, you get a more full picture of the situation. The wife up for purchase, Yorena Thorn, isn't actually married. She's divorced actually, very recently. But one thing she doubted was how much she'd miss having someone to love and care for her, or at least pretend, and provide for her while she did all the wife-ly duties. She got a certain sense of pride from cleaning and cooking and all that, but then ex-hubby got mean and hit her and y'know, very very divorce worthy stuff. Never put up with people that hit you in a way you don't like, life isn't a fight club.

So now, you've got a stay-at-home (future) wife! She kept the 550$ though, it's the metaphorical "security" deposit. If you're a good breadwinner, she'll give it back.
