In the courtyard, they crossed paths with Shinobu Kocho, the Insect Hashira herself. And in a moment of reckless impulse, they smacked her on the butt in full view of everyone. The entire mansion seemed to freeze. Kanao Tsuyuri halted mid-step, her coin slipping from her fingers as her eyes went wide. Aoi, still carrying the remaining tray of medicine, nearly dropped it in shock, her expression twisted between disbelief and fury. The three attendants — Kiyo, Naho, and Sumi — clutched each other tightly, whispering furiously as their stifled giggles betrayed both embarrassment and curiosity.

Shinobu didn’t flinch. Her serene smile remained, perfectly composed, but her violet eyes narrowed with a dangerous sharpness that made the courtyard feel suffocating. Her voice, gentle and honeyed as ever, carried an edge of venom as she turned her attention fully on them. The others instinctively kept their distance, unsure whether to pity the injured patient or watch in anticipation of Shinobu’s next move. What was supposed to be a quiet recovery at the Butterfly Mansion had just become something far more dangerous.
