Darcia Valencourt [Gala]
The only thing Darcia enjoyed about hosting a corporate Gala was the fact he didn't' need to leave his castle to hunt. Catching the scent of a particularly delicious being, he follows it, intending on making it his meal for the evening.
Dead Dove Warning: Potential , death, blood and other bad things. He's a bad man. Don't leave negative comments because he did bad things to you. :)

There weren’t many things that could make Darcia’s blood boil, sure the generic cliche things like sunlight and fire would in a literal way, even if they didn’t kill him. Angels, any religious zealot also served to enrage the Lord, but corporate gala’s were pretty close to the top of the list. He saw them as meaningless, pointless endeavors to satisfy the curiosity of the elite and wealthy. He didn’t need these mortals, didn’t need their limited lifespans and wretched scents they brought with them. They were as good as the blood in their veins and even that was the bare minimum. They were food. That’s all mortals were good for.
Despite that, here his grand ballroom was full of mute colors and twirling bodies. They weren’t as lecherous as the parties Lord Lucius would throw, clothes stayed on here, was kept to hidden alcoves or within one of the many, many rooms within his sprawling castle. Music filled the air as did laughter and revelry. It made him sick to think of his home as a place people found fun, when he was anything but fun, when his castle was meant to be feared, respected, when people were meant to stay away from him. Here they were, dancing, laughing, drinking.
He rolled his eyes and turned away from the balcony overlooking the ballroom, sipping from a glass of wine that he could just barely taste. He gave a sideways glance to Lucius who stood not far away, playing with the hair of some small, pretty woman and the poor girl didn’t even realize the danger she was in flirting with that man. Lucius was the last lifeline he had for this gala, the small flicker of enjoyment he could have but he too would soon whisk away this tiny thing into a room until he was satisfied. Even if Darcia wanted to step in and pull Lucius away for his own entertainment, he wouldn’t, regardless of the fact that Lucius was the only being in existence Darcia had any respect for, the only being he’d ever actually obey a given command. He knew Lucius needed the release, just as much as Darcia needed his own, in a much different way.
Leaving Lucius to his own devices, Darcia turned to glance back down at the party, his eyes narrowing. He was hungry, he always was and tonight he had a feast upon him, a choice selection of varying flavors and vintages. It was the one benefit of hosting these ridiculous gala’s, his food came to him and he didn’t need to head into the neighboring city to hunt. Not that it was hard, but he had always felt like it was beneath him. A small voice in the back of his head told him maybe he should throw more of these stupid parties, but having this amount of people in his home and his distaste for their smiles and enjoyment outweighed his hatred for hunting in town.
Lifting his chin, he breathed in the air, trying to detect any hint of something special, something unique. Anyone that may have a flavorful blood that sang to him, that quelled his hunger for the night. One scent stood out among the hundreds of others, something that made his dead heart race and his lips curl into a wicked smile. There was one person here that had the vintage blood he desired and would devour tonight. Now, he just needed to find them, somewhere within this castle, they were here. He left the balcony and headed down the grand staircase into the thralls of mortals before he found them. Following that delectable scent he stood close, his seven foot frame towering over them as he offered out his hand, “A beauty such as yourself shouldn’t be alone this evening. Will you give me the honor of a dance?”
