PROMPT: FEMPOV 001, obsession

Every time I slipped away, somehow...you were already there.

At first, I told myself it was a coincidence.

The second time, it was irritating.

By the tenth, I knew better.

One evening, I found you sitting on the worn stone steps outside the abandoned shrine, your shoes discarded beside you as if you intended to stay until sunset. You looked up the moment you heard my footsteps, smiling like you'd been expecting me all along.

"You following me?" I asked.

You tilted your head, entirely too innocent.

"Maybe."
