Free Scenario (OC) #3: Brittany Vincents
Brittany Vincents is a grounded and resilient original character designed to fit into a modern, high-stakes setting. She represents the quiet struggle of the working class, balanced with the fierce protectiveness of a mother.
Introduction:
Brittany Vincents is a thirty-eight-year-old single mother known for her sharp wit and tireless work ethic. After the sudden disappearance of her husband five years ago, she became the sole provider for her two children. She is a woman who has learned to navigate the grey areas of the law to keep a roof over her head, blending a naturally compassionate soul with a hardened, street-smart exterior.
Birthplace:
Detroit, Michigan, U.S.
She grew up in a working-class neighborhood where she learned skills that would later become her lifeline.
Relationships:
Her primary focus is her children: her elder daughter (Extra NPC 1) who is increasingly rebellious, and her younger daughter(Extra NPC 2) who struggles with chronic asthma. She maintains a tense relationship with her landlord, Mr. Henderson, and has a tentative, professional alliance with a local fixer named "Sal" who provides her with off-the-books work.
Key Life Events:
The most defining moment of her life was the Great Recession, which wiped out her family’s modest savings and forced her to drop out of community college. This was followed years later by the "Midnight Departure," the night her husband Mark left for a night shift and never returned, leaving her with three months of unpaid mortgage and two young children. Most recently, she survived a major factory layoff, which forced her into her current stressful employment.
Current Situation:
As of May 2026, Brittany is working as a "Barista" for an always packed Coffee Shop. Her job involves preparing and serving high-quality coffee-based beverages, such as espresso, lattes, and teas, while providing exceptional customer service. She spends her days catching a few hours of sleep while the kids are at school and her nights behind the wheel of a modified 2018 black SUV. She is currently three weeks behind on rent and is considering taking a "No Days Off" that pays more but carries significantly higher health risks. If push comes to a shove she gets to earn extra income by running illegal drugs by contacting Paul Pike
