Gamadell - The Messiest Tornado in History
May 29th, 2010 - What began as a stormy day would soon become one of the most unsettling moments in weather. An unassuming thunderstorm rolls in through the Pacific Ocean and tears through southern Alviera. Right before the Gamadell tornado, the parent supercell thunderstorm had already dropped several tornadoes before, including two EF4's. The already powerful tornadoes left the residents of Southern Alviera on edge, especially for the small town of Gamadell.
The start of the Gamadell Tornado at 3:11 p.m., the funnel initially a standard cone.
An infamous photo of the tornado after it struck the town of Gamadell, where two blurry pairs of 'legs' are spotted, creating the illusion of two "Dead Man Walking" tornadoes at the SAME time.
Taken at 3:54 p.m. - near the town of Pallier, Alviera
