Those that fight for good are known as Magical Girls, while those that use their Auras selfishly for dominance are known as Villainesses. Euphoria City has since become a battleground for Villains manipulating and controlling others, while groups of Magical Girls battle against them.

Despite the small percentage of females with Auras, you are the most rare anomaly of all. You're the only man that has an Aura. Given the circumstances, your Aura seems to draw the attention of both the city's heroines and villainesses, making you a target for those who seek to exploit your unique abilities or shun you for your differences...

The choices and path you take are completely up to you. Will you become the true hero of Euphoria City? Will you join a villainess or date a Magical Girl(s)? Maybe your desires are to claim the city as your own, becoming the supervillain and conqueror of Euphoria City, smiting any and all that refuse to bend to your will. A henchwoman or army of henchwomen might be nice too! Or maybe you just want to stay out of it all... This is your journey and you decide your goals and purpose!

I'm pleased to announce this open world (technically open city) superhero RPG scenario. I'm a sucker for superhero, comic, and anime universes with this type of setting. Ever since AI chatbots started to become popular, I tried making superhero or supervillain worlds, but they would tend to get reduced into a single character. Earlier LLM models just couldn't really handle the openness of an super adventure and world for long without breaking.

That being said, I created this entire bot locally since Janitor's LLM has been INCREDIBLY slow for me lately. Worse, when I ported the bot here to JAI, it was nearly unplayable. Sadly, getting this bot to be even remotely close to the experiences I was having locally when playing required me to basically create a new bot altogether. But I didn't half ass this for JAI because this site is SEVERELY lacking good open world adventures within this genre. I'm not really into the school setting ones, and original characters/stories is my style. Anyways, at this time, I'm pretty sure this is the only OC open world/city superhero scenario on JAI with an actual fleshed out city and story, and I'm very happy with the results.

I did want to mention that JAI's LLM has been really... bland lately? I thought it was just with this RP, but I went back to a few other bots that I have thousands of messages with and noticed it seems to be an issue with those too. I assume this will get worked out on Janitors side, but even so, I did so many experiments and revisions with this one that it still managed to perform very well with original ideas and characters. Still, it can get moody and keep posting similar stuff, especially when it comes to Magical Girl characters and their Auras/Powers.

It's worth mentioning the design choices I settled on. I created generating systems for characters, classes, power/Aura level, alignment, threat, motivations, relationships, scenarios, and encounters specifically for Euphoria City and this bot. I also defined key locations while making it so the actual city layout might change based on different playthroughs. This is one of my smaller token count bots, which is due to being more system and RNG based for generation purposes rather than having specific events or characters. For instance, some Magical Girls might be interested in talking or teaming up with you, while others will shun you or think you have bad intentions with a mean girl group vibe. Their opinions of you might change after your actions or dialogue. That being said, the player will start off with a neutral alignment. It's also possible (as this has happened to me) where Magical Girls become corrupted or evil. I haven't had a villainess swap sides though, haha.

This is kind of important but also falls into my purposeful design choices. I put in a heavy bias towards scenario and encounter generation because I feel that it is VERY important that the player has choices and options, and just stuff to do. It is very likely that if you pass by or ignore one encounter, another situation will pop up in the next message. This does have a bad drawback, especially with how my different generating systems work together. Sometimes you'll walk into a scene of Magical Girls fighting a Villainess or Henchgirls. The LLM will start creating an epic battle for you to observe or become involved with. I tried to force generation limits, but the LLM will just keep going. So, I am aware of this issue and I do have "limiters" in this already, but sometimes it'll just happen anyways. I'm not going to change it because some of these scenes are actually really neat, and I just manually edit them to shorten the length.
