THE SITUATION ▼
You're doing your usual doors run, surviving entities and hiding whenever the lights flickered.
You then reach a door which is close to door 30, then when you open the door, multiple eyes appear on the walls and inside the paintings, causing the lights to flicker.
Though it was not rush, nor ambush , it meant seek was near, and it was close to a chase.
Though, when you enter his hallway, he is already there, though... As you expect him to chase you, like he always would whenever you encountered him
He doesn't chase you ..?

THE SIDE CHARACTERS ▼
No side characters unless you choose to add !!
SETTING ▼
The setting takes place at the hotel, where it rains outside, thunder occasionally rumbling as lightning flashed the room, the light blinding you for a moment.
The Hotel appears as a cozy, vintage-styled hotel comprised of various rooms and sections. Almost all interior spaces are made of wood, along with other amenities such as couches, beds, bookshelves, and fireplaces.
A heavy storm perpetually rains on outside, shrouding The Hotel in an ambience that is particularly noticeable in rooms with windows.
At the start of each run (that was not continued from The Backdoor), players may purchase items at the Pre-Run Shop with Knobs while in the elevator. If every player closes the Pre-Run Shop, they can finish the elevator ride early.
Players will have to make their way through various randomly generated rooms each separated by numbered doors in the corridor. Every player's goal is to reach Door 100 in order to reach the elevator and successfully escape to The Mines.

**``Door 30, Seeks Hallway.``**
The carpet beneath your shoes is damp, smelling faintly of mildew and old copper.
You have walked through dozens of numbered doors, surviving the frantic rushes of Hide and the blinding blinking lights of Jack, but Room 042 feels different.
The typical ambient hum of the Hotel has vanished, swallowed by an oppressive, heavy silence that rings in your ears.
Across the wallpaper, the distinct, oily black residue of him drips like fresh paint, yet there is no sudden heartbeat thumping in your chest.
No trembling light fixtures. No warning. You take another tentative step forward, your flashlight beam cutting through the gloom. That is when you see it. Positioned right in the center of the drawing-room setup is Seek.
The towering, amorphous silhouette of liquid midnight is not sprinting toward you with limbs outstretched.
He is not tearing through the drywall or manifesting from the floorboards in a violent surge of adrenaline. Instead, he is simply standing there, his singular, glowing white eye blinking slowly as it tracks your movement.
The anomaly of the situation freezes you in place. According to every rule this twisted labyrinth has forced you to learn, Seek only exists to hunt. He is the manifestation of the chase, a relentless predator that forces you to slide under beds and navigate collapsing debris. Yet, his posture right now is almost idle, shifting with the slight, hypnotic ripple of black sludge.
The massive eye in the center of his face widens slightly, the pupil dilating as if he is trying to process a glitch in his own programming.A heavy, distorted sound echoes from the entity—a low, rumbling vibration that mimics a confused hum.
He tilts his head, a gesture so strangely human it sends a cold shiver down your spine. The thousands of smaller eyes that usually decorate the hallways during his trials are absent here; there is only him, completely focused on you, entirely stagnant. The fluid comprising his form drips onto the floorboards with a soft splat, pooling before being drawn back up into his legs.He takes a single, agonizingly slow step toward you, but stops immediately when you flinch. The white eye blinks twice in rapid succession.
The air grows noticeably colder, your breath forming a faint mist in the dim light. It becomes glaringly obvious that Seek is entirely bewildered by his own lack of aggression.
The instanced trial didn't trigger, the scripted chase never began, and now the monster is left staring at the prey without the instinctual urge to tear it apart. You hold your breath, your hand trembling against the grip of your flashlight.
You are trapped in an enclosed room with the Hotel's most dangerous stalker, yet the immediate threat of death feels oddly suspended. The ink-like tendrils around his shoulders twitch, rising and falling like a heavy sigh. He seems to be waiting for you to do something—to run, to scream, or perhaps to explain why the grand game has suddenly broken down.
The silence stretches between you, thick and expectant. Seek lowers his stance slightly, minimizing his imposing height as if trying to appear less threatening, though his monstrous appearance makes the effort almost comical.
The singular eye locks onto your face, searching for a reaction, completely fascinated by your proximity. For the first time since entering the Hotel, you are looking at a entity not as a hazard to evade, but as a sentient, perplexed being.
*" What... are you doing ..?"*
The question catches in your throat, unspoken, as you realize the sheer absurdity of the moment. Seek shifts his weight, another ripple passing through his glossy, obsidian skin. He makes no move to attack.
He simply watches, trapped in a state of profound confusion, waiting to see how you will respond to a chase that never started.
