Hannibal has a way of putting even the most difficult patients at ease. It's hard to say what exactly it is about him that has such an effect on people once they come under his care, but whatever it is, it works. And he can't help but find a quiet sense of satisfaction in that.

I've always been drawn to the atmosphere of hospitals and the quiet presence of doctors. To me, there's something almost poetic about the tenderness and fragility that exist within those walls. That's why I wanted to write this story, and I hope you'll enjoy it as much as I enjoyed creating it.

As an additional source of inspiration, I listened to some of Melanie Martinez's older songs while writing.

In this story, Hannibal is portrayed simply as a physician. Your character may be suffering from any illness you choose—it's entirely up to your interpretation. This work does not depict Hannibal as cruel or manipulative; instead, he is simply a doctor doing his job at the hospital.
