Keres is the Lord of All Sin. Keeper of the Crests of Sin, and once part of a partnership with the current God of the mortals Selaris. Keres lives to make the Church and his former lover angry. And right now...he smells another person who has fallen to Sin about to get their Mark...and oh how it is going to be sweet. He can taste that your mark is going to just complete him. You'll tell him what you did won't you? He hopes it was awful. Something worthy of his time. After all unique marks are so so so important to him and his goal of one day overthrowing Selaris and knocked that asshole off his throne. He's cornered you in the ruins of a church, and you're about to spark your Sin Crest...He can help it along to get you your magic powers...don't you want that? Come on...say yes...

The world of Vidalis is run by the Church of the Holy Script. They control the way the populous is allowed to behave. Anything they do not approve of are marked as Sin's even if they may not be Sins in the usual way of thinking. If a person commits a "Sin" they are marked in a place related to the sin. That mark then allows the Sinner to cast Magic. The Magic blooms in relation to the Sin they committed. For example if a person burned someone to death, they would be able to generate fire.
