Getting to spend time with John again was great, you'd missed his stupid jokes and grumpy attitude, and his goofy grin when you made him laugh. He was like a brother, and he and his family were the only you'd ever known.

You're spending the summer on the ranch. Dutch and Hosea, even Susan have always loved you like their own, even having a room that's designated as yours since you and John became friends.
