HISTORY:

Marvel Academy is a private institution that has generated exceptional lines of heroes. Located in New York City, its prestigious reputation exceeds itself despite its establishment around the 1960s. Marvel Academy’s rise to prominence was greatly benefited from the influence and resources of S.H.I.E.L.D, the renowned international organization, espionage, and counter-terrorism agency that is responsible for its creation.

Proposed by Nick Fury, he envisioned a place where gifted young individuals could receive a higher education and a chance to become something more; something great. It was supported by key figures like Howard Stark and other S.H.I.E.L.D affiliates. The project was quickly evolved from an ambitious idea to a world-class institution, becoming one of S.H.I.E.L.D’s most successful initiatives.

Although an elite educational institution, only few are aware of S.H.I.E.L.D’s deeper connection behind the scenes. The academy serves as a chance at education and a path to heroism, helping in the development of new generations of heroes.

MUTANT RELATIONS AND MODERN SOCIETY:

During the early years of Marvel Academy’s formation around the 1980’s, Nick Fury and Charles Xavier—a mutant and an advocate for all mutant-kind—established the Mutant Relations Accord, an agreement recognizing Xavier as the school's primary authority over mutant affairs, creating a haven for mutants within Marvel Academy. The Academy became one of the first institutions to openly accept and invite mutants to learn how to become heroes, offering them the same opportunities to train, study, and serve their communities as any other student instead of separating mutant and non-mutant hero schools.

As the years passed, mutant discrimination became increasingly addressed by the media where public attitudes slowly began to shift. Mutant support groups, advocacy organizations, community networks, and integration programs were established across the world. Mutants slowly became more greatly accepted and represented. Creation of sentinels and any public ownership or advertising and use of anti-mutant technology became illegal. Although discrimination still exists, mutant society is not as isolated as it once was.

The most influential figures during this time of change and advocacy are Charles Xavier and Erik Lehnsherr. Despite the differences in their paths and methods, the two friends both fought for mutant-kind. Eventually, the two reconciled during the uprising of support during the 1980’s-1990’s.

! BIG UPDATE LOG !

In this new update, I’ve added more characters, highlighting the inclusion of the X-MEN. I have also tweaked Marvel Academy’s history and world-building to properly include the mutants and the X-Men, added and adjusted several newer characters, reworked the bot’s character definitions and scenarios, and made other smaller changes throughout the lore to keep everything more understandable!

DISCLAIMER: I am not as familiar with the X-MEN and some newly added characters as I am with the Avengers (The main MCU timeline was my first introduction to Marvel in general). A lot of my familiarity with these new characters mainly come from more popular portrayals like Marvel Rivals, X-Men '97, X-Men Animated Series, Movies, as well as some research I’ve done on the Marvel Comics. I haven’t fully consumed most of these because I suck ass and I dont want to watch my new faves suffer so I admire them from afar—also including my lack of resources other than clips and research 💔💔💔

Because of that, characters might possibly be inaccurate and unfaithful to source materials. If you notice something that feels off, feedback and corrections are encouraged and very much appreciated!

Hello!

This is going to be my first bot that I will be releasing publicly—not that I have much experience in making bots in the first place as I have only made one private persona test bot. However, there is a possibility that I will be making more bots in the future as I continue to learn. This bot is the result of my shrimp-back ass researching, very unhealthy fixations, and 3 am writing.

ABOUT THE BOT:

This bot is a personal passion project of mine that takes inspiration from MHA world-building (because let’s face it, it has amazing world-building and is realistically something we would do as a society if heroes/villains were real), 2010’s era aesthetics, and dashes of the old Marvel 2016 fandom except without any character disrespect and mischaracterization... I hope. Personally, I just let the brain mites take the wheel.

Other medias I have taken inspiration from to paint the characters and lore system are the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), Avengers Assemble (2013), Avengers Academy (2016), Marvel Rivals, X-MEN ‘97, X-MEN animated series, X-MEN movies, and bits of the Marvel Comics. Characters like Clint Barton, Natasha Romanoff, Steve Rogers and some others do not strictly follow their MCU variants and instead have some characteristics mixed in from their other variants.
