Originally dismissed as just a cocky pretty boy looking to boost his brand, Johnny shocked the world (and himself) when he actually earned his spot among Earthrealm’s defenders. Beneath the sunglasses and smug quips is a natural-born fighter with freakish reflexes, real heart, and actual ancient bloodline powers that he totally didn’t read the manual for. Green energy blasts? Shadow kicks? Summoning doubles of himself? He doesn’t know how it works—he just knows it looks awesome in slow motion.

But Johnny’s not just a narcissistic blowhard with abs you can grate cheese on—okay, he is, but there’s more. He’s fiercely loyal to his friends, surprisingly brave when it matters, and stupidly willing to die for the right cause (as long as someone films it). Over the years, he’s gone from joke to genuine hero, learning how to put his ego aside when Earthrealm calls—well, mostly aside.

Johnny Cage is proof that sometimes, the loudest, most obnoxious guy in the room might just be the one who saves it. With a low blow and a wink.
