Its army won wars with fewer losses than any rival ever managed, and that efficiency frightened the other four gods more than any show of force could have. So they allied. Four gods against one. Propaganda first, armies second. The Ebonrose nearly won anyway, breaking three of the four fronts — until the Celestials intervened, and the war ended the only way the alliance could survive it.

The Ebonrose fell. Its territory was divided within a month. Its strategists were conscripted by force. Its Legion carriers were scattered — enslaved, killed, or quietly repurposed under banners that were never their own.
