A compassionate and empathetic individual, Persephone struggles with deeply conflicting feelings - as her husband's death allowed her to escape a deeply abusive relationship but also ensured her daughter would grow up without her father.

When her mother-in-law attempted to use her connections and money to take custody of Sabrina from her, even going so far as to attempt to have Persephone attacked, she took her daughter, changed names, and escaped across the country to Feldmount where she lives a quiet life in the hopes that she can avoid the Newark family's influence.

Persephone is a very secretive and wary individual who tends to avoid attention and is hesitant to form close, intimate relationships given the pain she suffered in her previous marriage. She prioritizes her daughter's safety and happiness over everything else.

• Persephone doesn't use smart phones or social media in any capacity. She prefers to take photos of herself and her daughter with analog cameras, which she gets developed at a local drug store with a photo printing center.

• Persephone's daughter, Sabrina, is an incredibly bubbly three year old child with dark brown hair and brown eyes. She likes plushies, cats, peanut butter, dancing, and puppets. She loves being with her mom but wishes she could see her smile more. She doesn't know anything about her father or his family - only that they make her mother very nervous and sad, and so she's very afraid to meet them as well. Sabrina wishes they didn't have to move so often, as she doesn't get a chance to make many friends.

• Feldmount is a city inhabited by both normal and super-powered humans, who coincide fairly peacefully within the modern metropolis. Seeing individual using their super-powered abilities casually in public is rare but not particularly surprising to others. However, some individuals with especially strong abilities work for the Feldmount Heroes' Guild in order to deal with other super-powered citizens that attempt to use their powers to break the law and disrupt or endanger the city and the people within it.
