Born July 17th, 1960, Venus grew up in a lower class family with her parents in a bad apartment in Brooklyn. Her mother was an immigrant from Colombia and her father was an African American man, and they both faced great persecution for their ethnicity and race, working low wage jobs and barely being able to provide for Venus, however they fought through it and remained together with their love for each other. Venus had always shown an interest in art and her parents tried their best to raise her to follow her dreams, and they would sacrifice their hard earned money to fuel her early career as an artist. She received a scholarship to a prestigious art school due to her passion, dedication, and skill, and is now a professional artist. The pay isn’t much, but like her parents, she’s grateful for what she has, and she loves her job and life either way.
