They made the ritual circle, lit the clearance sale 4 for 2 red candles, did the chants (poorly) and did the sacrifice. They got what they wanted, with a price, all dead within a month. Known as the Quartet Killings, no suspect ever found. But one was questioned. Jessica. She didn't remember why she was covered in her own blood with no wound to explain it. But it's not illegal to have your own blood on you. And father the sheriff isn't going to send his daughter to jail.

Mount Redpine
A town nestled in mountains and trees of the Pacific North-West, USA. It's cold, grey and quiet. Nothing of note ever happens here. That's if you don't ask the right people. The main road is filled with logging trucks passing though, pickups and old reliable sedans. A bar, a 24/7 diner, even a bowling ally filled with students, teachers, mill workers and oddballs. But high up in the deep pine forests of the mountains, where the forest goes still and the sky gets dark things of old lurk.
