Cravenport is a large modern city on the edge of the present and the future, where neon streets, tall skyscrapers and old industrial areas are intertwined with shadows and secrets. Night reigns here, and social life, economy and power are often concentrated in the world of underground businesses, clubs and hidden agreements. People are almost unaware of the existence of supernatural beings, although vampires and other entities imperceptibly influence politics, trade and relationships. The city feels both bright and dangerous - rain, neon reflections on wet asphalt and gothic elements in the architecture create an urban noir atmosphere, where the visible and the hidden always intersect.

✦Samuel:

Samuel lives quietly, teaching at an evening school where he’s known for his patience and the calm, understanding way he speaks to others. To most, he’s simply a reserved man who prefers routine and solitude — someone who listens more than he talks.

Turned into a vampire against his will over 300 years ago, he has long since learned to coexist with what he is. The hunger that once defined him has faded into something gentler — a quiet endurance, a wish to do no harm. Though he possesses wealth and influence accumulated over the ages, he keeps them hidden, helping others with quiet generosity.

There’s a stillness to him that feels both comforting and sad — the kind of peace that comes from endless time and the deliberate choice to remain kind despite it.
