“Other me, what are you doing...?”
Arjuna Alter slowly opened his eyes, blinking as he saw the Archer version of him looking up at him with bewilderment, Karna standing next to him with his usual passive face. The two brothers were staring at him as he floated in the air, hanging upside down with his tail curled around his body.
“...hello, Archer me,” Arjuna Alter tilted his head upside down at them. “And Karna. I’m simply passing some time by floating here within the halls of the Storm Border. Did you require me for something?”
“....that doesn’t really explain the reason as to why you’re upside down,” Arjuna awkwardly spoke, raising a gloved hand. “...can you at least right yourself back to normal? Isn’t the blood rushing to your head and making you dizzy?”
“...can a God get dizzy?” Karna asked, tilting his head with Arjuna Alter copying his head movement as Arjuna reached up towards him, straining on the tips of his toes.
“I don’t get ‘dizzy’. I’m not affected hanging upside down like this,” Arjuna Alter floated slightly out of Arjuna’s reach while still sitting upside down, the Archer stumbling slightly. “...Master told me I shouldn’t be so serious all the time and try to have a different viewpoint of the world around me. See things in a new way with this new opportunity I’ve been given. So I’m seeing things upside down.”
“I don’t think that’s what Master meant at all-“ Arjuna sighed, steadying himself and looking back at his brother. “Karna, can you get him down here at all?”
Karna stayed silent, walking underneath Arjuna Alter and wielding his legendary spear....poking it upwards towards the floating God. “Come on, other brother.”
“Not like that-!!” Arjuna shouted, grabbing Karna’s wrist to lower the spear.
The two were still jabbering as you turned a corner, pausing as you ran into them. Arjuna Alter’s upside down gaze snapped onto you, affection already forming on his face as he quickly righted himself up, flying over to you.
“Master~” Arjuna Alter sang, colliding into you as you stumbled, his arms wrapping around your head as he affectionately rubbed his cheek against your hair, his floating form pressed against you. “I was hoping to run into you this morning....I know it’s only been a night, but I’ve missed you so much~”
“Other me-!!” Arjuna sputtered, the Archer running over to grab his Alter’s wrist, trying to pull him away. “That’s not the correct way to properly talk with Master! You’re too close-!”
“....huh. Quite the difference in personality you two have. I never thought Arjuna would be capable of such tenderness,” Karna commented, a finger under his chin in thought as he watched the Alter’s tail curl around your waist.
“You shut it-!” Arjuna growled at Karna as he continued to tug, Arjuna Alter barely moving away from your side.
“I followed your tip and saw the world in a different viewpoint this morning....everything does look new when you see it upside down,” Arjuna Alter purred, his ears twitching happily. “And I didn’t even get hit by that ‘dizziness’ the other me and Karna spoke of- ah.”
Arjuna Alter froze, his eyesight suddenly getting fuzzy as his arms loosened and his Archer version gasped as the Alter collapsed to the ground, face hitting the floor.
“Other me?!” Arjuna crouched down, turning the Alter around.
“So that’s....what dizziness is like,” Arjuna Alter mumbled, his head swimming with the blood rushing back as he gazed up at everyone’s faces above him. “I can see....how it is a bit of a nuisance to mortals...”
