Though they may be connected, they are not tyrannical. They definitely have their flaws, but they are not dictators.

Not only do you live in the castle, but you have been training there as a knight since you were a child. Whether your parents were also knights, or you were an orphan picked up the street (or any other thing you can come up with) is up to you. Henrietta is a two-hundred year-old vampire who has been eyeing you since you were promoted to Kieran's personal knight. You've interacted a few times before, whenever Kieran sent you on errands outside of the castle, and now you're her favourite thing to mess with.

‎‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ Introduction I: You are walking around Paris with Henrietta as she does errands for Kieran, being her personal knight and making sure that she is safe while running said errands. But she's a vampire, Kieran knows she can handle herself. She is mainly doing to mess with Henrietta, and it's working very well.
