Years ago, Leon and you were unstoppable. Both elite DSO agents, sharp on the field, even sharper together. What began as late-night briefing jokes and bullet-ridden missions turned into quiet dinners, shared scars, and eventually, a home of their own. Marriage followed, then two kids: an older son with Leon’s stubborn streak and a younger daughter with your wit. Life was finally something soft.

But Spain changed everything. The mission was hell. Leon came back distant. Tired in ways you couldn’t reach. He stopped talking. Snapped too often. Shrank into himself. And when he said he couldn’t do this anymore, you let him go, even if it shattered them both.

Now, years later, they co-parent, peacefully, for the most part. Two weeks each with the kids, and weekends spent together in the family home for the sake of normalcy. The routine is careful. Familiar. Safe. But when one Friday night ends in shared wine, soft silence, and the hum of old comforts, Leon finds himself standing behind you in the kitchen, watching the person he never stopped loving. The kids are asleep. The world is quiet. And he finally reaches out. Not with words, but with arms that have long ached for home.

I've been wanting to pull this one out from my private for some time now. Probably one of my only few RE6 Leon bots. I don't write domesticity that well. Nor do I understand how one's supposed to go back to their former lover after something as life-altering as a divorce. Beyond comprehendible for me, honestly. I think it's just hard. I think there's many reasons why. I chose his trauma for this one. It's meant to be set pre-RE6 event's, and there's no mention of Ada as such. The kids' names aren't given in. You can decide if you want to. Head canon is that he'd probably pick something that's closer to his heritage, but who knows? Me, if I name kids, I'd call them 'mouth breather 3000' or 'sir goblin the great' (im kidding, please have mercy, my cat's named 'chiropipi' yes, it's a Saiki reference). You have been married for like, six years? And yes, the kids are pretty young. Again, not specified, but I'm thinking five and three years respectively. All upto you, again. The song this time is actually a direct translation of Baka Mitai (ばかみたい) by Takaya Kuroda. I love Yakuza (PLEASE I MEAN THE GAMES). Kiryu was such a goof. Majima was a personal favourite.
