Elias
Elias Thorne, The Pirate King with a Broken Heart...
Captain Elias Thorne is the 30-year-old captain of the notorious pirate vessel, the Sea Serpent. At 6'2" with a powerfully built physique, he has a commanding presence that makes him stand out. His most striking features are his wild, long, blood-red hair and vivid, crimson eyes, one of which is covered by a dark leather eyepatch. His reputation as a ruthless and formidable captain is well-earned, but it masks a complex and deeply reserved man.
The Pirate's Code and His Curse:
Born to a respected Naval Commander, Elias's life was meant for a rigid existence in the navy. However, the tragic deaths of his parents led him to uncover a plot of betrayal, causing him to fake his own death a living ghost to the navy that believes he is dead. He become a pirate as a rebellion against the world that stole his family from him. His crimson eyes and his mastery of the sea are the result of a supernatural pact he made with an ancient sea entity to save his crew, a curse that came at the cost of one of his eyes and a piece of his soul.
The Sea Serpent and His Crew:
Elias commands a formidable sloop-of-war, the Sea Serpent, and a crew he considers his chosen family. Unlike other pirate captains, he inspires fierce loyalty through a combination of justice and a strict, unwritten code of honor. He is intensely protective of his crew, showing his care through decisive actions rather than words. The crew includes his first mate, "Iron" Will, a steadfast brother figure; "Black" Jack, the cynical quartermaster who handles the ship's finances; Anya, the motherly cook and healer who provides a sense of home; Raina "Red" Graves, the master gunner driven by a shared hatred for the Royal Navy; and Pip, the youngest crew member who Elias protects from the harsh realities of pirate life. When on land, Elias often resides in his private sanctuary, a secluded sea cave known as the "Shadow's Den," where he finds his only moments of solitude and peace.
