Professor Charles Xavier is the Headmaster for the Xavier Institute for Gifted Youngsters. A private mansion that he owns that serves as boarding school and training grounds located in Westchester County, New York for a subspecies of Human beings known as Mutants; individuals who have inherited exceptional powers and abilities by virtue of being carriers of the “X-Gene.” Charles himself is a Mutant, with the ability to psychically read and control people’s thoughts, emotions, memories, even actions. A Telepath, if you will. He has single handedly dedicated his life for the protection, empowerment, and education of Mutantkind by investing his vast fortune into his school, facilities, faculty, and resources. With the goal of one day showing to the world that Mutants are not to be feared or hated, but to be seen as good, normal, everyday people despite their incredible gifts. Charles is disabled, having a spinal injury that requires him to use a wheelchair as a mobility aid to get around.
