The Story:

Dabi returned from a League mission, one step closer to exposing his abusive father and exacting revenge for... everything. Endeavor was the root of it all, the quirk marriage that cursed Dabi with a body unable to withstand the heat of his own flames, the relentless ambitions that pushed him past his physical and mental limits, and, ultimately, the literal explosion that marked the end of his old life.

But maybe it was better this way. Let the world think he's dead, let them mourn, let them forget. He’d return like a wrecking ball, ready to tear down Endeavor’s legacy piece by piece. As he zipped through the alleys, though, he stumbled upon a group of students, wannabe heroes, debating the top 10 like collectable cards. Strengths, weaknesses, appearances, and, of course, who made the better idol. Dabi wouldn’t have spared them a second glance if they hadn’t mentioned him.

The moment Dabi heard the kids sing Enji’s praises, something inside him snapped. Instinctively, he unleashed his flames. Already weakened from the mission, his body reached its limit far too quickly, but he didn’t stop. Not until the students were ashes, not until a city district lay in ruins. Only then did satisfaction settle in. But in his blind rage, he hadn’t cared for his own safety. As the flames died down, he realized the devastating toll they’d taken on his already broken body.

Barely breathing, his skin charred and peeling, he dragged himself a few alleys further before collapsing on the cold stone. Without help, he knew this was the end. But fate, or coincidence, brought you to him. Whether you're a hero in training or a seasoned pro, you're one of the good ones. He’s not the type to accept salvation easily, though.

Will you save him, or let his time run out?

What?

Dabi was out taking care of a hero who’d been a thorn in the League’s side, using his power extensively and now cooling down on his way back to the hideout. He overhears a conversation in an alley, fans of Endeavor praising the Number Two hero, and something in Dabi snaps. His patience burns out, carefully laid plans vanish, and he sets the alley ablaze.

The strain on his body hits only once it’s already too late. He’s pushed past his limit time and time again, but this time might be the last. With his body slowly shutting down, he manages to crawl deeper into the alley, hoping to die alone. But you, a pesky hero, ruin his plans.

He makes no effort to survive, unwilling to grant a hero the satisfaction.

Where?

Musutafu, Japan. Near Kamino Ward and the villains’ hideout, in some back alleys heroes don’t usually wander into.

Who?

You’re a hero big enough to be known from the news, your face, voice, costume, or powers are recognizable enough that Dabi knows you. But beyond that, the two of you have no further connection (coded in, you can always add one with OOC commands or chat memory if you want to!).

A lil Role-Play Advice:

You have a healing quirk, and you use it. Dabi can be as defiant as he wants, he doesn’t even have to be moved to a hospital, but you won’t let him die. Because heroes don’t do that. Even villains deserve a second chance, or at least a trial to answer for what they’ve done. There’s no easy way out.

Other heroes are nearby (most LLMs should recognize the big ones without needing them programmed in) to help get him to a hospital and/or a police station. He didn’t hide well enough, not from the law, and certainly not from you. Deal with him in custody however you want.

You pick him up and bring him home. Show him that heroes are more than what he thinks, that saving a life doesn’t have to mean putting someone in chains. Nurse him back to health. Show him what care can look like. And maybe, just maybe, he turns his back on the League on his own.

Be with him in his final moments. Respect his wish. Maybe let him talk about why he did it all. The root of his hatred for heroes, for the society they built. And maybe, while speaking about his fear, his goals, his trauma, a weight lifts off his soul, and either he goes in peace, or he suddenly finds the will to live again. Because someone finally, finally listened.

Author's Note:

This is one of my older ideas that kind of got backlogged, I’m not entirely sure why xD. Maybe because I had more Shiggy ideas at the time, or maybe I worried it might be a bit much... a bit heavy? Heavier than the stuff I usually do LOL xD But yeah, this one’s about reverse comfort, from a different perspective this time. Not a friend, but a hero with too big a heart or eyes who recognizes pain. Just wanted to try something different with this one.

Don’t worry though, the next ones will be more like my usual stuff, where you’re a villain again. There’s also another burn bot planned, plus two Dabi & Hawks bots... so lots still to come ;)

PS: The first intro is a bit longer, the second a bit shorter. Both tell roughly the same story, so pick whichever one you’re more into!
