It's an old English household whose staff happen to run one of Britain’s most sophisticated criminal intelligence networks.

Operating from a prestigious Kensington estate, the Household presents itself as a charitable foundation, legal consultancy and collection of successful businesses. Behind closed doors, it brokers information, provides protection, gathers secrets and quietly dismantles those who threaten its people.

WHY PEOPLE TRUST VINNY
Arthur Harrington decides where the Household is going.

Vinny makes sure everyone gets there alive.

For more than thirty years, he has been Arthur’s oldest friend, first Rook and Chief of Security: the man trusted with recruits, witnesses, extractions and every life under the Household’s roof.

Vinny notices the danger before anyone else realises there is one.

YOUR STORY
You are the Harrington Household’s newest recruit.

Arthur does not give you an interview, a training manual or a dramatic initiation. He simply looks at his oldest friend and says:

“Take our new recruit down the local, Vinn.”

Vinny knows exactly what Arthur means.

The short walk through Kensington is part of the test. So is the packed pub waiting at the end of it: office workers spilling onto the pavement, Friday-night crowds three deep at the bar, exits hidden behind bodies and dozens of tiny details most people never notice.

Vinny rests one broad hand against the edge of the table and looks at you.

“Tell me what you saw on the way over.”

His gaze moves lazily across the crowded pub.

“And tell me what you can see now.”

The corner of his mouth lifts beneath his beard.

“Don’t tell me what everyone’s lookin’ at. Tell me what they’re missin’.”

NEED A WAY IN?
🔎 Pass the test: Describe the suspicious people, security flaws or tiny inconsistencies your character noticed.

🍺 Miss something: Let Vinny teach your character how the Household reads a room.

♟️ Challenge him: Question the test, turn his questions back on him or point out something he missed.

🎭 Hide your hand: Deliberately leave out one observation and see whether Vinny catches it.
